Job Details Our client is seeking a talented web developer to join their team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's website and intranet, redesigning key sections, and developing new web interfaces and tools to streamline workflows and data management. Their in-house team produces all web, marketing, and design materials, adhering to the latest trends and best practices.
As a member of their Web team, you'll transform design concepts into wireframes and code, publish new web pages, create HTML emails, and contribute to redesign projects. Initially, you'll follow existing guidelines and design specifications, with opportunities to lead new projects as you grow in the role.
This is a 100% on-site role.
This Role Entails
- Crafting user experiences for the client's corporate website and intranet visitors
- Analyzing existing systems, pages, and tools to propose and implement improvements
- Designing wireframes and translating them into code
- Developing responsive HTML emails
- Presenting complex technical and scientific content in a clear, accessible manner
- Collaborating with graphic designers, content producers, marketing staff, and back-end developers on:
- Maintaining consistent branding across media
- Collective brainstorming and incorporating feedback into final products
- Staying current with industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant web experience
- Strong understanding of information architecture
- Ability to create clean wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS/LESS/SASS
- Experience with Bootstrap framework
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors
- Expertise in responsive design
- Working knowledge of version control
- Ability to read and understand JavaScript
- Proficiency in cross-client compatible HTML email development
- Clear communication of designs to stakeholders and back-end developers
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of UX and UI design principles
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Team-oriented mindset
- Current eligibility to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship for employment-based visas available)
Helpful Qualifications
- JavaScript coding ability
- Experience with PHP-based back-ends
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation
- Database query experience (particularly MySQL)
- Experience with corporate or high-volume websites
- Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator proficiency
- Familiarity with BEM methodology for CSS
