Job Status: Full-time

Job Pay: $17.00 per hour

Job Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Job Location: Alvarado-Niles and Western Ave

A2Z Staffing is seeking a dedicated Janitor / Maintenance professional to join our team. This position involves maintaining cleanliness and functionality within our facility, along with basic building maintenance. You will need to be comfortable around office management and warehouse staff.

Duties:

• Perform general janitorial cleaning task, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Maintain and clean restrooms, break areas, and individual offices.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling activities
• Conduct janitorial / porter duties to ensure the facility in and out is always presentable
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed - small repair and maintenance
• Support facilities maintenance by identifying and addressing issues promptly
• Pick up and remove trash from outside the building

Skills:

• Experience in commercial cleaning and custodial / janitorial work
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices
• Ability to maintain cleanliness in all areas including offices, common spaces, and restrooms
• Ability to work independently, without supervision, and able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Familiarity with maintenance/repair projects
• Janitorial and Custodial/porter (outside) functions

Requirements:

• Must Pass a 10-panel drug screen
• Must Pass a background check
• Must Pass E-verify
• Must be able to always wear steel toed shoes
• Must be able to lift, stand, bend, crawl and walk for 8 hours a day
• Bilingual (Spanish English)
• Must have 1 year experience
