We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Lafayette, California. This role presents a unique opportunity for a entry level to learn and grow within the public audit function. The position is a contract to hire employment opportunity, offering a chance to gain valuable experience in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Execute data entry tasks for audit data such as banking information, trial balances, payables, and aging
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Assist in the data entry of accounting entries in a precise and efficient manner
• Collaborate with the team to ensure client needs are met and inquiries are resolved
• Learn and adapt to the public audit function, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team
• Ensure accurate and timely updating of customer records
• Take initiative to monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Work diligently to process customer applications efficiently and accurately
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and attention to detail in all tasks.• Must possess a University Degree, preferably in Accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Accounting Entries is required
• Candidate should have solid Data Entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• A strong understanding of financial and accounting principles is expected
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is crucial
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required
• The ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines is necessary
• The candidate should have good problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of other accounting software is a plus.
